Theater is proud to provide this Artists Section to showcase many of Reno's fine artists. These artists are among more than 750 local and regional artists in the Sierra Arts Artist Registry. The Registry is available to corporations, schools, churches and other arts organizations to seek an artists(s) for a specific program and to assist the individual artists professionally. The registry also informs artists of local opportunities to exhibit and to receive funding. For more information contact Sierra Arts at 329-ARTS.

Helmers, Edna
Edna Helmers has been content to be involved with theater offstage. After years of calling volunteers, organizing mailings, counting money, making cookies, etc., she has decided to find out what the excitement is all about. Edna's husband Gary is also very active in theater. Their 8-year-old son Robert has even been seen on and off stage at Gothic North. And if you didn't think that was enough to keep any woman busy, Edna is a CPA for Strong, McPherson & Co. here in Reno.

Helmers, Gary
Gary has been acting, directing and working behind the scenes in local community theater for 10 years now. In fact, it was Gothic North's first show in 1990 in which he made his debut. Now 40 some shows later he's still wondering how he got here. He'd like to thank the cast and crew for doing all the hard work. Most of all he'd like to thank his wife Edna and son Robert for all their support.

Robertson, Julie
Julie Robertson is Executive Director of Gothic North Theater as well as being and Office Manager, mother of two teenage boys, skydiver, figure skater, ballerina, world traveler and the planet's foremost authority on everything. She also likes to daydream! Her ability to believe in the possibilities of dreams while living in the real world is what has given her the faith to steer Gothic North for the past four years. Her most recent acting role was as Martha in 'Strange Snow' for Reno Little Theater and later this season at Gothic North she dons her Directing hat for William Inge's 'Bus Stop.' She wishes to thank her husband and children for their tolerance of a life's passion that takes her away from home so often. She also wishes to thank the audience for coming to this performance because in community theater, "They also serve...who sit and watch."

Snook, Susan
Having moved to Reno three years ago because "I have friends here who help me keep my insanity," Susan Snook is new to Gothic North Theater, and hopes to continue in local theater for as long as they will have her.

Zybert, David
Since the age of six, David Zybert has been annoying audiences as an actor, director, singer & writer, but not, thank goodness, as a dancer. His credits are many and varied. He has done television, film and his first love, theater. He is a cofounder of two theater groups, one in Southern California and one in Reno. Born with a twisted outlook on life and a bizarre talent for free association and bad puns, David has finally found peace, home and family in Reno.
