Harold's Club once stood across Virginia street from Fitzgerald's (or Whitney Peak as it presently exists). It did a lot to put Reno on the map and to legitimize gambling. It was once the largest casino in Nevada (1948).
Anyway I remember Harold's well and I wish it was still there - but, I will have to settle for a documentary and one has been made. I haven't seen it but it can be had for about $20 plus $3 shipping. For more info see this facebook page ... https://www.facebook.com/HaroldsClubMovie?fref=nf |
