Intrigued by this. I had not even heard of this place until recently. Flights and 3 nights hotel included in a price under $200 sounds tempting. Packages don't seem to be very often though, every 2 or 3 months.
Yes, I know it's in the middle of nowhere which is fine by me. Anybody on these boards been here before? Do tell.

I have been to Wendover a few times. I own some property near Elko. There is not much in Wendover other than the casinos. There is a small museum at the airport which is interesting and you can walk down to see Wendover Will.
I did the fly deal one time courtesy of the Peppermill in Reno. It was well run and they gave us some very nice coupons that actually had value. I don't know if they still give out that booklet. The casinos are really very nice and they bring in some big time entertainment if your timing is good. I have nothing bad to say about Wendover other than you are kind of stuck there with not much else to do. They do run a courtesy bus that will take you to the different casinos.
My offer was a flight for two for free, plus $75 in free play. How could I say no?
My advise- give it a try. |

Seahawk,
Yes I did do a trip to Wendover a few years back. Stayed at Montego Bay Casino. They have some of the best rooms I've stayed in Nevada.....including Vegas. Caveat.....there is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do in Wendover but gamble, eat & sleep there. The buffet are great. The casino are very nice....Montego, Peppermill. They do have a shuttle that trucks you to each casino and they do have good entertainments on weekends. BUT....you'll get tired of just gambling every minute, especially if the losses mount. I had a free, comp flight and received great offers after but never went back. |

My bro visited on one of their flights out of PDX. They spent time at the Salt Flats, golfed and gambled. Said it was a great room, comparable gaming to Peppermill Reno and the food pretty good. |
