OK, somebody replied to this section and started a thread, so here goes:

Likes: For the traditional 3 reels, anything with 2 credit max, mostly dollar machines, although I'll play a 3 credit model if it's a decent machine. Some favorites include the Haywire, the "Diamond" machines (Double/Triple/etc.), Wheel of Fortune (dollar model only and I have to see others win something first), Top Dollar, Hot Peppers, Red White & Blue, Blazing 777's, Playboy, and the "(something) Times Pay" machines. It's crazy, because the few books and videos I've invested in about "How to Beat The Slots" all advise to stay away from the "(something) Times Pay" machines, something about they only very seldom hit, which is true for the most part, but I got $7000 off one last month at Arizona Charlie's in Vegas (Ten Times Pay model) and a $1500 hit on a Double Ten Times Pay model at the Horizon in Tahoe three winters ago. I guess I've just been lucky.

For the newer multi-line machines, anything that doesn't run over $4.00 per spin with whatever denomination (I play all lines and credits or don't play at all, have had too many would-have should-haves...) Includes the Little Green Men Series, Powerball, Men in Black, Mr. Cashman/Aristocrat machines, the new 5-reel Triple 7's machines, Catch-A-Wave (the surfer dude in it is my twin brother I've been told), the Monopoly series, Green Stamps, Supermarket Sweep, Phone Tag, Used Cars, The Price is Right series, Hollywood Squares, Fortune Cookie, Green Stamps, Pharoah's Fortune/Pharoah's Gold, Alien, Hee Haw, Money Storm, Turkey Shoot, Tabasco, and some Wheel of Fortunes (pennies & nickels only, and there's a new one called "Super Spins" that is a real live interactive game. Picture the wheel being a cone-shaped dinner table with 7 people sitting around it. Everybody jumps up and yells "Big Money" during the bonus round and it's the real deal. They have double seats so people playing can sit with their friends. It's a $4.00 per spin penny game but you must try it. The people around you alone will crack you up. Haven't seen any in Reno yet but hopefully somewhere...let me know if they are any around!)

Dislikes: None. I've never met a slot machine I didn't like (even the ones that don't pay, which is a good chunk of 'em).

I remember it well. Haven't seen one anywhere around Reno. The last one I saw was at the Luxor in Las Vegas, and the figures were camels instead of horses.

I thought they were all long gone, but I spotted one at the Horizon Lake Tahoe a few months ago. They used to have them everywhere, and they were popular.

Speaking of old popular games, I would love to find a flip it game somewhere. I saw one at Virginia City about a year ago. Might be the last anywhere. ??

Flip it? I see you scratching your head. Very Happy It was the large machine that you would put quarters into a slot and the coins would fly past those baskets down into those shelfs, and they would pile up hanging over the edge. They would have those pushers pushing the pile of quarters so they would defy gravity waiting to fall over the edge to your waiting hands.

Hey QCumber,

Not sure where any are at in Reno, BUT there is one at the Horizon in Tahoe. It's the first thing you see when going in the middle front doors. I hope it stays there for a while, a lady was telling me there are only about 6 left in the US casinos or something like that... Does anyone happen to know what's the maximum quarters you can play per horse? I never tried anything above 4. Seemed to at least have won my money back playing all horses at 1 quarter per horse...
