I haven't played VP in a very long time. What would a decent VP machine payout? And, which casino has the best ones? |

Remano gave you good technical advice.
In a simplistic vein, and easy way is to look for the very basic game, Jacks or Better. It should pay 9-6 which means 9 for a full house and 6 for a flush.
Of course you should be betting FIVE coins each hand and check this also. The payoff for a 5 coin Royal Flush must be 4,000 coins - NOT 1500 or some other odd number.
That's a NUTSHELL from what my friend Dave describes as a NUT...... |

which reminds me: John how are the "Lap Dancing Birds"?
Be sure and bring them to the Farside for companionship while A and I are enjoying our "happy hour".
(The distraction of the birds may keep you from "eating your heart out".) |

PEB, you have two good answers already.
I might add that I used to play a lot of Bonus Poker. To me this was a very conservative game also and I liked the slight bonusses on Ace -2-3-4s. This has historically been an 8-5 game (see Jerry's explanation).
It still pays 2 for 2 pair and 3 for 3 OAK.
Plus, of course, the 4,000 coins for the 5 bet Royal.
Lately I am seeing a change throughout NV. To wit: LV, Laughlin, and Reno. They are converting these to 7-5 machines. This drops the payback % well below the 99% level. Not sure exactly but Remano's reference likely tells you if you want that much detail.
I also play Aces Bonus Poker. Same as Bonus Poker except slightly more bonus on Aces (though a very long shot). These should still be 8-5s.
Enjoy yourself. Play only what you are comfortable with. You have to search every casino, every machine, every time you go, to find the decent pays. Usually only a very few of these well-hidden and constantly changing and moving. |

Now that thar is a "happenin"....
Seriously, though, all is in constant flux. We need up to the minute reports from everyone who goes to Reno.
Even if you think you have nothing to report, your input is helpful to all of us. Please write even if the TR is short. We all find your views/thoughts/experiences interesting.
There are no strangers on this board.
NOW THERE ARE A FEW MEMBERS THAT ARE """STRANGE"""
BUT THERE ARE NO STRANGERS. |
