Stayed at Atlantis and Eldo. Rooms nice, staff fine, drinks very good.
I lost...... Gambling sucks in Reno.
Atlantis, not too bad. Horrible at the Pep (I aint won there in forever) and the Eldo (but at least the comps are good here).
Comps also good at Atlantis now. But Pep sucks on everything. No comps ever. Offers have seriously declined even though I lost just as much last year as previously. Get this: I lost just as many dollars but put LESS dollars thru the machines so my offers are cut way back. that means their hold was much higher. So go figure.

That being said, I have not booked the Pep for a long time and am exploring new options where I can lose my money.

Things are always evolving in Reno. My home used to be the Siena, where I was treated royally. Now, I rarely darken their doors. Next was the Pep and it is now basically off my list. It is not like I ever win at ANY of these places either. A funny system.

When I get crossed off the mailing lists for my new "homes", then I guess I will quit going to Reno. I am liking it less and less with every trip.

Sorry to hear that, Jerry - I will write to the Reno Chamber of Commerce and demand that you be put back on the fast track, 'cuz your contributions here are highly valued, and we can't just have you coming down and losing every time! I've got top men working on it right now...

Have you been to the Grand Sierra lately? After one visit on a little free play from giving our email address, they now send us 2 free nights with $50 slot play monthly. Rooms are okay, at least the ones they give us, I understand bigger players get better rooms, but only through a host.

It's weird how much slot play you earn as you go. Playing at a 75 cent level on slots, you'll earn $5 an hour, weird. Most places is about a buck, it's not scientific, but that's what mine equals out to.

Casino is pretty, drink service excellent and restaurants above par. It may become our new property once Harrah's catches on we're over them.

Sorry to hear that Reno did not treat you any better than the previous week in Laughlin. I think you are past due for a winning trip...... but after a trip like this, you may not want to come back for awhile. Maybe our trips will cross again some time in the future.

Hey, Swede, we gotta make it happen. Laughlin was tough for me since I was sick from the moment I got there until I got back to Oregon almost two weeks later.

Maybe you can come watch my games in Oroville. Isn't that close by?
I also play in Manteca and Lodi. That's all I have scheduled in CA this year. Just picked up another tourney today in Washington - long trip.

Let's stay in touch. I'll be at Atlantis next Tu and Wed with my bride (sorry Ali, no more room in the Inn).

I had also planned a May trip to Reno but this new WA tourney will cause me to either cancel or shorten it.

Naw- I think I will skip the Oroville game. It is about a 3 hour drive each way........ Do you know what channel the game will be on? Very Happy

Have a great time at the Atlantis next week. I see they predict a small storm is moving in on Tues. and Wed. but that could all change.

I think the games are on closed circuit TV at $30 a pop. I will be signing autographs after Saturday's games only. Sunday they go for (appropriately) $30 a pop.

Yeah to storm watch. Crying or Very sad Every time I get online for weather, my route has some snow predicted. Will spring ever arrive. I am going to take my chances. I am loooooo-ooo--ooonnnnn-nnnn---nng overdue for a replenishment of funds. (Fortunately my tax refund came today and I am on my way to the bank for gambling funds.)

And, Swede, the fact that you do not opt for the 6 hour round trip to watch my games does not diminish our friendship in any way. Very Happy
