What 2.5 - 3* casinos are iffy or not my 3* would be the Silver Legacy and Residence Inn and 2.5 * would be the Sands Regency.

Silver Legacy is LOVELY.... the slots tend to eat me alive, but The Dog does well at the table games (see previous trip report!)

I've never been in the Sands Regency, but I've heard it's LOW BUDGET for accommodations... read the Yelp reviews on it... more like a 1.5 or 2 star property.

And I don't know a thing about the Residence Inn, but if I'm going to Reno, I'd want to stay in one of the big casino properties!

I agree with the comment about the Silver Legacy and would go for the Residence Inn over the Sands Regency.
