anything NEW at teh downtown Nugget? like a clean up?? I do like the plae for the awful awful... but it seems to be going down hill as if thats possible... coming out in mid april

Anywho..... Our Dear Leader, John, has a cool feature at the top of this page.

Actually TWO. Well, maybe more...

First, the MAIN SITE that many of us forget about (like me) that John works hard to keep updated with all kinds of useful trivia.

And secondly, a SEARCH feature that let's you search for specific words within past postings. If you click SEARCH, then type in "Little Nugget" (so it doesn't get mixed up with the other Nuggets around)....you'll see threads titled, "Cheap eats" and other categories where the "Little Nugget" is mentioned.

If I had time, I'd find my review of the "Awful, Offal" where I love the burger but wish I had not watched it prepared !

Speaking of the Awful Awful, I was at North Shore Lake Tahoe last summer and walked into the tiny Nugget casino. They have a little eating place just outside the casino that was advertising the Awful Awful. So- I guess you can get it at more than one place?

The best part about the Awful Awful is that it has only 140 calories...give or take about 10,000.

I remember reading somewhere that all the Nuggets in Northern Nevada had some kind of relation to each other. As I'm typing this I'm realizing I should be searching for that information. Anyway they all have an Awful Awful in their coffee shops. Even the Carson City Nugget has one.

According to my personal experience and from what I've read the little Nugget downtown has the best one. "Food Wars" gave The Little Nugget's burger 1st place in a competition with Rosie's cafe in J. Ascuaga's Hotel Casino in Sparks. Videos of the competition are easy to find on YouTube.
