Anyone know if Cal Neva takes pets yet? I recall some one (Mammouth maybe ?) saying they heard they were considering it. The prices I am finding for harrahs petstay rooms seem a bit high for fall ,thinking of Sands but have not heard to many favorable reports from there.Any suggestions will be appreciated. Take care, Wynn

When I last stayed at Siena (early March, 2013), they had two floors that allowed dogs. I heard (but unverified) they don't take all dogs, but not sure if the dog needs a gold AMEX card or what.

Hi MyCran!

Yes, I did get it verified a couple of months back they don't take pets at the Neva when I called about the efficiencies there. However, all in the same breath, the lady I spoke with mentioned that there are alot of "illegal" pets there, and the two slot techs I've spoken with that live in the efficiencies said the place is swarming with cats and dogs! Just a few days ago, I saw a lady step off the elevator directly in front of the slot club with a huge Golden Retriever that clearly wasn't wearing a service animal harness.

So, in other words, if it's a short stay, you might just be able to pull it off.

Yes, as awesome as the PetStay setup is at Harrah's Reno, the rooms can be really pricey if you're paying for them, and are not on a comp. I believe they automatically double the price of a standard east tower room for the 4th floor. We've been very fortunate in the time we've been here with their setup, as it seems like every other casino in town has some type of pet charge or double-up price.

Enjoy your trip!

Good info as always Mammouth, good to hear from you. So far at Harrahs in late Oct.for 4 nights no dogs = $120 $30/night. Petstay room is $372 total so about $93 a night. So about $60 a night extra for the pups. lol. I know a smart person would leave dogs at home but sadly not an option. I am going to call them later and see if I can get a better rate,.Also thinking of what you said about Cal-Neva , because we like it there and want to be centrally located. Wifey really doesn't like the idea of staying at the Sands but said she would leave me a bus ticket if it didn't work out for her. Nice of her....
