AND the Mark Twain Casino has several machines with Pick Em Poker.
But details are going to have to wait. Headed home...with a broken heart. |

Maybe a couple more days in Reno will Mend it? |

Talk about the dizzying highs and the terrifying lows...this trip has had it all! Soaring heights vs. busted dreams, and a broken heart to boot....
Can't wait for the epilogue! JD, we expect to hear every filthy detail... |

Note for future reference: Best to NEVER mention including many details in a "Trip Report" to a potential love interest when on an uninhibited out of town trip.
And NEVER, EVER mention posting photos. |

Thanks for sharing your trip with us. It has been interesting.
Somehow- I don't think we will see those pictures.
Perhaps another rule is not to post at 2 AM after a long day of having a few too many drinks. |

Some might argue that that's when the best stuff is written.
Great, epic trip report JD! You sure you won't be back this year? |

JD..sorry to see your having problems with Atlantis..but the Flyer and mobile app route there seems to only work if you book 7 to 10 days in advance. they are the methods that are used most and will be gone quickly
What is your card level there? It sounds like you should be at least gold level.
Try using Personal Casino Rate method.. the phone number for that IS different from the regular reservation number.
1-888-223-1498 and tell them you want to check on your rate and book under personal casino rate.
I started using this when the flyer route didn't work two years ago and have never had any problem.
The PCR is based on how much play you have put on your card. |

Thanks for the tip, Obi.
But this offer is date specific. Today is 13 OCT. And the OFFER is for 16 Oct. 3 DAYS out.
And when I was IN Reno the last two weeks of Sept & first week of Oct....I got THREE similar offers....NONE of which were honored.
I'll try your technique but right now, I am SO TOTALLY pissed off at Atlantis I would rather eat a bowl of ground glass than give them any of my money. And my Purple status is nothing compared to what Tony (oyster bar bartender) lost by not honoring their offer.... I mean, BAIT AND SWITCH.
Lucky for ME, there are still a few casinos that keep a date with ME, rather than dump me when some good lookin stud muffin (with no money) asks them out.
I'd rather PAY for a room in VC than get jerked around in Reno.
Screw them.
We seem to agree, I should see other casinos for a while to see if we really have any future. |

Well I guess things are getting better in The Reno room market, I'm
getting supposedly free room offers from every where. But in fact they
are only free till you get to the Hotel lobby and they hit you with the
Resort Fees plus all the tax's, Which amounts to what I was paying
for rooms before I was getting the (comped rooms)! So instead of going
to reno 8-10 times a year, we only go 4 times spend the rest of our $$
in other places. One Place is Locals casino, no fees and great frendly
folks, and Great Food, with out the Crowd.
PS. Whose nose was getting cut off to spite their face?? |

As predicted...NOW that I'm home...lotsa offers in my mail box and more by e mail. Right now, it appears Boomtown is the most credible offer. Even Harrah's seems to have rediscovered me. Thanks to who ever reminded me to visit with a little more vigor. And it looks like Silver Legacy is joining the bandwagon.
But Atlantis...You're dead to me.
Besides...I had way more luck in Virginia City than Reno...if you can believe it. No room offers but I was way ahead just buying a room at the Silver Queen.
15 days. 1185 miles. 4 nights in van. Heart and Liver healing slowly. Total expenses including gas, meals, gaming, paid rooms, and a few paid drinks= $ 1000 net. Tips= $ 100. That counts the $ 404 I "found" at Silver Legacy. Not bad. Would have been worse had I not scored $ 500 or so in VC. |

Wow, that's less then $70 a day food, lodging and entertainment. great trip.
the SL and eldo are advertising flights to reno from different city's that would make your trips a lot less painless, no driving. I've been doing
the laughlin thing with Harrah's and Riverside. Love it. Leave from
Modesto or Stockton. |
