Hi Everyone!

We are officially booked to come back to reno. Will be coming mid Sept. Staying 2 nights at The Pep in a Tuscany Tower Room then 4 nights at Harvey's in Tahoe in the newly renovated lake view room. Its been so long i can hardly wait! We got our room using a offer thru the myvegas app. The room is free but not when you include the $47 a day resort fee.. Ugh.. Harveys was 3 nights comped and $100 for the other night. Considering i have not been to Tahoe in 2 years thats not bad. Resort fees are $25 a night there.. On a side note, these resort fee's really irk me!

Is there any great food deals in reno you want to share? Since we have not been forever to the Pep, we dont plan to play much there or have any comps and will be eating elsewhere. I see the Cal Neva has some good deals. I really miss buffets. Does anyone in Reno have a buffet?

Hey Alison! Glad to hear you’re heading back to Reno (& Tahoe) And you’re spending a couple of days in you castle too!. Should be a great trip! I heard, quite some time ago, that Toucan Charlie’s buffet (at the Atlantis) was open and that staff were spooning the food onto your plates for you. I’m not sure that this is still the case.

Just checked their website - Toucan Charlie’s is open for lunch and dinner each day. Unfortunately they’re not doing breakfast at this time.

Great to hear about another trip happening to Reno!

I can attest that Toucan Charlie's is indeed open! But Napa Bistro Social Hour is a winner for a deal, deal, deal.

Yes they have become ‘Spendy’! The Buffets used to be a place of price refuge for cheapskates like me. Oh well, at least there’s still the Top Deck at the Cal Neva or perhaps Napa Bistro Social Hour as Zydeco suggests. Anyway your trip draweth near. Hope you have a blast and ‘get lucky’!
