Received my quarterly "Preview" mailer from Pepp with the usual coupons, but no freeplay. I have always got freeplay in this mailer in the past.
Anyone else get the mailer? W/ or w/o freeplay? _________________ Go Ducks! |

How much free play do they usually send you in the Preview. mInes only like $25.00. Hardly anything. |

I think ours had coupons for $10 free play each week for the next 6 or 8 weeks, just to keep us coming back. I didn't pay much attention because I'm not much of a slot player.
Speaking of the Pepp, I looked in on their arcade today on my way across from the parking garage. It's supposed to be open by the middle of March, and it is huge. If you cleared out all the machines it looks like there's enough floor space for a game of football in there. |

Hey Alison,
I'm going to be back on Friday night/Sat. morning, i'll be more than happy to snap some photos, just let me know if you'd be interested in seeing anything specific. The ones I got on my last trip were mainly of my room (so I could give them a 5 star rating on Tripadvisor!) I'm not sure but I think there's a rule in general that you can't take pictures inside the casino, does anyone know?

yeah they dont like you to take them typically. If you act like a dumb tourist they give you a warning. That is if they notice you! You definetely cant take any around table games.
I am curious what the sports bar area looks like. Also i hear the skywalk is complete?
Any pics of anything that looks changed would be nice. Dont get thrown out trying to do so. LOL
Good Luck on your trip! Can't wait to read your report |

Alison,
OK I'll snap some for you. Hey it just dawned on me, if they get mad I could always show 'em my media pass and tell them they are being featured in our next issue (that helps me with the upgrades sometimes so why not photos too?)
I'm not for certain but I think I may have seen a photo of the new sportsbook in the Peppermill section of Tripadvisor.
Hey can anyone tell me how to sign up for that Preview magazine? It looks like they send some cool stuff and I've heard about it. So far since my last trip I've gotten one whopping email offer, the "Sizzle" where you can stay in a tower room real cheap. The only one I got after my first visit 2 years ago, but I guess I'm moving up?
Meanwhile, ole' Mont-poo (oops I mean Montbleu) just sent me another offer for 5 free nights (even with my unpaid bill...) these people must be HURTING!

Yeah the media pass sounds like a sneaky, oh i mean clever idea.
You dont have to do anything to get the preview mailer. The send them every 4 months. You must not have enough play with them. Thats the only reason i could see you not getting one. Do they have the correct mailing address for you with your Players card? |

Yeah I made sure they had my current address. I think this trip I am going to go to VIP or the Players Club and see how much I need to throw down to start getting some offers. I did make my reservation thru VIP this time (thanks again for providing me with that # a few months ago) and although there was no discount the place looked pretty much booked regularly so it's good to know they are there. The one mystery I did notice was that your points don't display anywhere, you have to ask! (I asked just to be sure I wasn't doing anything wrong, needed a new card, etc.) |

The Peppermill is really tightening up on their incentives.
The Mr Money's free play challenge rules have changed. Used to be when you got to say, level 3 and got a "sorry" on level 4, you collected the winnings for level 2. Now, you collect $0.
Locals get free play 6 times a quarter. Used to be 8 times.
They got rid of the cigarette girls.
Higher percentage of useless "prizes" on the daily card swipe. Useless prize = Free glass of house wine with a $125 meal, $2 off in the Steakhouse, free deck of used cards in the gift shop, etc.
In the weekly Sunday drawings, if you landed on 2x, 3x or 4x (any combination) for 3 consecutive spins on the wheel, you got $10,000. Now you get $3,000, unless it's the same multiplier on all three spins, in which case you get $25,000. I'm guessing that if the Peppermill is still standing in the year 2050, no one will have ever won that $25,000.
One would almost think they have a multi hundred million dollar expansion to pay for. And they're passing the cost on to us.
The only reason I still play there is it's the only casino within easy walking distance of my house. |

Yeah my Preview did not have any free play in it. I still had my $50.00 matchplay and $50.00 meal. Bummer!
i certainly hope they arent tightning up on the free play. I recently recieved overlapping free play offers for $150.00 each. too bad i could not have used them! |

Alison,
Since Fla has offered some photos I won't go into detail. Pictures are better. Thi inside improvements have mostly been discussed here - the sports book/bar/deli area and the skywalk to the garage. The other improvements are taking shape but aren't too impressive yet - mostly a couple big holes with some concrete and steel starting to rise up. Pepp says the new Tuscany tower and ballroom will be open by this Fall and the new pool area ready sometime this Summer, but no guarantees yet.
Fla.,
Bring your sun screen. Recent storms brought plenty of snow but predictions are for sun this weekend and temps in the 60's and maybe low 70's. |
