I have just joined this group and would like some info on the Peppermill.
Is the pool area open and not afected by the construction.
My wife and I generaly play .25 vp two or three hours each a day and I play craps a couple or three hours at about 25.00 a throw.
Are these levels enough to get some comped food?
Rooms are prepaid on a good package deal.
Thanks

Harvey,
Welcome to the board.
I have been told that the pool at the Pep is now open. I would think that you should be able to earn a few food coms outta your play. Just make sure to always present your Passport card when playing craps so you can get tracked. Oh by the ay, I love the Pep. Thats my fav place to stay. I will be headed down there this july. When do you plan to visit?
Good luck on your upcoming trip!!
Ali

Allison
Thanks for the welcome and the info.
My wife and I are going for a quick two night trip June 25 for our anniversary.
Never stayed at the Pepermill but it looks nice on the web site and the board here(including all your posts) seem to all be positive.

I assume you have not played at the Peppermill before? If you do not have a slot card, they offer $100 refund of a loss on your first hour of play. Be sure you ask to get this great promotion.
Don't expect much in the way of comps with your level of play, but you will most likely get some offers to return. My daughter played on penny machines last month on an overnight deal and was offered 2 free nights and $50 in free play on a mailer.
I hope you enjoy the Pepp |

As Caswede said, dont expect ALOT of comps. I think you will get somethign though. The best thing are the mailers they send you afterward with free play and hotel nights trying to get you back.
Make sure to write us a trip report when you get back.

Thanks again for the info.
Pretty much what I expected for comps.
Main concern is pool is open and not a war zone due to construction as pool time is huge for my wife.
Have not been to Reno in almost 10 years so looking forward to it.
Allegiant Air has some great prices out of Bellingham which is only a 40 min drive over border for us and if this works out we may be able to get down a few times a year.

I hope you enjoy your time.
I know the Pep is under some construction. Just request a room away from that and you should be fine. The pool though is facing the construction, but it is open.
Are you a new Passport Club member then? If so, you can get that promotion they have for up to $100.00 back on your loses for new members. my friend learned it was best to cash out an insert a new bill when switching around machines. Don't use the ticket you were playing on. So if you are up, you should cash out and insert a new bill. If you keep playing on the ticket you are technically plyaing on winning so you arent really loosing. I know that does not make a whole lot of sense, but this is what she was told when she went to find out what she earned in free play.

The pool is right up against the construction site, separated from it by a glass partition. You can see part of it in the lower left hand corner of the convention center web cam.

Probably still a better pool than any of the downtown options. |

WOW! I haven't checked out the webcams in awhile. I can't believe how quickly they're getting that new tower up, as well as everything else.
I'm definitely going to stop by there on my next trip.
I can't wait to check out the new room in the Tuscan tower. Hopefully, once it's completed, they'll remodel the old tower. |

LOL, I see you like my avatar!
Hmmm, I haven't checked out the reservations. Has any one priced the rooms? My birthday is 12/20, it would be nice to make a visit to Reno during that time. |
