Sierra Safari Zoo is Nevada’s largest zoo
in Northern Nevada. Over the past eighteen years the Sierra Safari
Zoo has become a very special part of Reno and has made great
strides to make our beloved community a better, brighter more
beautiful place for all. They love to share their compassion for
and knowledge about animals big and small.
The zoo is located at 10200 North Virginia Street
in Reno's North Valleys.
Upon entering the zoo, the visitor is greeted with
a warm, clean gift shop with loads of animal-related items for
sale. Every employee and volunteer at the zoo is friendly and
knowlegeble about the animals. The admission price is just $7.00
($6.00 for kids and seniors) and gives you free reign of the zoo.
Visitreno.com spent half a day at the Sierra Safari
Zoo, talking with the staff and taking loads of pictures of animals
from all over the world. Click here
